Third day third day! - Bali

I know I know, it's been more than half a year already. Well, i'm bored enough to dig up the old stuff. So here it is. Third day was altogether the best and the worst.

First stop was a souvenir market. Not a place for me though. haha!

Some never-before-seen-in-Kuching stuff.

Shot taken from the minibus.

Another shot taken from within the minicoach. That's the problem if you're joining a tour group. Minibus minibus all the way!

No, those aren't absolute vodka. They are petrol sold along the road where petrol stations are nowhere near.

Yeap, you guessed it. Shot from minibus again!!

Second stop, the Taman Ayun Royal Temple.

Long straight path towards the entrance.

It is said that only the royals can use the main entrance to enter the temple.

The famous layered-roof temple structure.

These are called "Canang Sari". Small offerings consisting of incenses, coloured rice and some herbs i guess.

After that, we had our lunch at high altitude with view of paddy terraces.

Then it was another temple. This time, the Ulun Danu Beratan Temple. One of the famous water temples in Bali.

The building itself is situated near the shore of Bedugul Lake. This high altitude lake was probably formed from an inactive volcanic crater(i guess). Weather there was temperate. Strong gust of wind made us felt cold.

We then headed to the well-known Tanah Lot. I dont know but that guy selling roasted corn, looks kinda like Bruno Mars.Dont you think? X)

Beautiful sea!

There's a whole stretch of market along the road to the seaside. It was nearing sunset hours and my family members just enjoyed shopping around. On the other hand, i just couldn't stop worrying about missing the "golden hours" of the sunset so I kept on reminding them to hurry up with the shopping.

In the end, i persuaded my mom to follow me to the beach, and it was already late. The sun was going down, i didn't have much time to setup and get a good frames for pictures. Unfortunately, it was also time for us to meet up with the rest of the tour group. So yeah, pathetic.

Tried to brave the waves for better shots. lol!

Till my next post then! *currently super bored

Santubong trip for milky way

Went to Santubong in hope of getting shots of milky way. It was the first day where my friends and i stopped working. So we planned to enjoy a bit before the results were released. It was a really nice place in Kpg. Buntal. Secluded and quiet, peace! We stayed at our friend's house(yeah! imagine he ride on his bike to school EVERY weekdays morning from this far!!) Pictures here are mixtures of mine and my friend's.

 The house, simple yet cozy.

Doing what he do best. haha!

Didnt think of taking off the shirts. But my friend asked me too..sorry viewers

 The kitchen. Classic

Traditional method of grass-cutting.

Our driver. haha

Love the view. It's like at overseas...dahh

Dont know why he wrote that caption lol!!

Walked along the beach on these rocks. Not that easy.

Watching the wind blow the clouds toward us just broke our hope. lol

Barbequed some marshmallows even though it rained bits.
Love this shot. Cause it's taken by me! using my friends cam haha

Tried to shoot some lightning. Went in and out of the car because it was raining intermittently.

In the end we can't stand the rain anymore. So we drove back to the house to get some sleep.

 Our breakfast, the next morning.

Went to a "waterfall"(a jungle stream actually) for some pictures.

Places like this is my paradise!! Except the bottles of course. Come on people!!

Shot by my friend.

Head into the jungle to pluck some coconuts.

The price we have to pay is get swarmed by mosquitoes!!

In the end, we didn't get what we wanted. Overall, it was quite an awesome trip. We're going there again soon. Probably end of this month. Milky way please be there!!

The Day

This pic doesn't mean anything. Just wanna make this post look not so boring that's all.

STPM results released today. Went out and had breakfast with friends as early as 9.00am even though the results' set to be released by noon. We couldn't stand the intense feeling of nervousness, so we went to a cyber cafe to relief some tension. Went straight to school around 11am after a few games of Left 4 Dead  i didnt play though.

At the school, the facial expressions on our teachers' faces was just so discouraging. Enough to take the fake smiles off our faces. "Owh man, there's still one more hour left before we know our fate." That's what we kept thinking. Besides the painful waiting, the torturing got worse with the teachers' look. So we waited in the hall, where all the doors are closed, which kinda gave us some sense of security. lol

Let's skip the long story, i rarely pour out my feelings in public( never actually). Wished my results could be better. Although they say i'm the top in my school, there's a feeling of dissatisfaction in me(not being cocky here). I don't know, felt like the hope(dream) of getting a scholarship to go overseas just disappeared in front of me. Gahh! please..

The catch!

Here are some of the catches from the two previous trips! Lets start off with the ones from Santubong.

The spiny eel.

Blue line rasbora, nice schooling fish.

Some betta ibanorum was also caught! Gave them to my friend cause don't have enough space for them.

Next up, from Serian :

The wood shrimp, aka bamboo shrimp/ fan shrimp/ asian filter shrimp..etc. the colour of this shrimp ranges from blue to brown to red to pink.

It's a filter feeder, with its modified appendages, it can filter off plankton and other stuff from the water. Awesome to watch. :D

The Malayan shrimp. Colour also ranges from blue to red.

The target of the trip, the Borneo sucker! Cute fellas, can be seen grazing on algae on the glass or stones.

Unique fish, endemic to Borneo. Can actually see the little heart beats on the underside.

Enjoyed watching them!

"Flying fox". Also an active algae eater.

Overall the trips were really awesome! Hope to find a new species someday, and name it in honor of me. *dreaming Sad to see that some people even brought soap and shampoo to the habitat to bathe. It's affecting the organisms people!!
